Rear View Safety is giving away ten percent of all July 4th weekend website revenue to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit working to end child hunger on both a national and local level.

We will "spring forward" one hour starting early Sunday morning. Because the day is only 23 hours long, we will lose an hour of sleep. We will "fall back" into standard time on Sunday Nov. 1. A report by AAA projects that more than 55 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving. Here's a AAA travel forecast

• Automobiles: 49.3 million travelers will hit the road this Thanksgiving, the most since 2005 and 2.8% more than last year.
• Planes: With 4.6% growth, air travel will see the biggest increase in travel volume during the Thanksgiving holiday, with 4.45 million Americans expected to fly.
• Trains, Buses and Cruise Ships: Travel by other modes will reach 1.49 million, a slight increase of 1.4% from 2018.

When I was growing up the holidays meant a lot of travel. My family, like 107 million Americans, traveled from Dec. 23 - Jan 1. Having 3 older brothers, it was always a magic trick getting our large family into a car in any kind of timely fashion. Video system requirements will soon change for non-emergency transportation (NET) vehicles carrying Medicaid Beneficiaries in Arkansas. NET Contract (IFB 710-18-1025) states the following minimum requirements for video recording in NET vehicles, effective January 1^st, 2019.

• Minimum 45-day playback/viewing (all footage must be retrievable)
• GPS required on camera
• Interior Recording (The camera must be positioned so all passenger activity is recorded)
• Audio recording is not necessary
